Patrolling, Patrol Groups & Calendar

We are a committed team ensuring the safety and well being of visitors to North Bondi to ensure that they have a safe, AND enjoyable experience, every time.

North Bondi SLSC has a proud record of maintaining a safe and friendly beach environment – you, as a North Bondi surf lifesaver, play a very important role in continuing this achievement.

Patrol vision
The experiences and memories that visitors to our beach take with them may reflect the service that we have provided and will create a favorable or unfavorable memory of the Australian Surf Lifesaver.

Create a positive first impression to beach goers by:

  • Making eye contact
  • Being friendly
  • Being alert
  • Being attentive
  • Wanting to assist
  • Being helpful and comforting when required
  • Being cheerful and positive about yourself and the organisation
  • Trying to understand the insecurity of some people at the beach
  • Being efficient
  • Trying to understand their needs
  • Understanding that some people have limited knowledge of the beach

Patrol requirements
Your are required by SLSA to complete a minimum of xxhours each season. Due to the popularity of our beach North Bondi SLSC requires that you complete an additional minimum xxhours each season. It is your responsibility alone to meet this requirement by attending as often as possible your rostered patrol or seeking a substitute when you can’t make it.

Upcoming patrols, water safety events and education courses are shown at right. You can view the full members calendar here.
